Legal & Policies

At You Won’t Learn This at School, transparency and trust are at the core of everything we do. Below, you’ll find information about our legal commitments and policies to ensure a safe, inclusive, and professional environment for all participants.

Code of Conduct

We foster a respectful and supportive learning environment. Participants and staff are expected to treat each other with kindness, inclusivity, and dignity. Any behaviour deemed inappropriate or discriminatory may result in removal from workshops or coaching sessions.

Confidentiality

We respect your privacy. All personal information shared with us during workshops, coaching sessions, or through contact forms is treated with the utmost confidentiality. We only collect and use information for the purpose of providing our services and do not share it without explicit consent, except where required by law.

Safeguarding

The safety and well-being of our participants is our top priority, especially when working with young people and individuals with disabilities. All staff are thoroughly trained in safeguarding procedures, and our lead educator holds up-to-date Working with Children Checks and other required certifications.

NDIS Policy

While we are not yet an NDIS registered provider, we are actively working toward becoming accessible through the NDIS. For now, our services can be accessed privately, and we’re happy to provide invoices or documentation to support funding applications where applicable.

Accessibility

We’re committed to ensuring that our workshops and coaching sessions are accessible to all. If you or your child require specific accommodations, let us know, and we’ll do our best to meet your needs.

Cancellation Policy

We get it—life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule a session or workshop, please give us at least 72 hours' notice. Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable.

Content Disclaimer

Our workshops and materials deliver accurate, research-backed information that’s engaging, age-appropriate, and tailored to real-life contexts. We understand that every individual’s experiences and beliefs are unique, so we encourage open dialogue and welcome questions to ensure everyone leaves feeling informed and confident. Please note that all participants and/or guardians must sign a waiver prior to joining a workshop or coaching session. You’ll find the waiver below.
